| Dog Decapitated In Coyote Trap
DUNLAP, Tenn. - A man and his son walking their dog saw the animal decapitated when it put its head in a trap baited with bacon. The trap is commonly used to kill coyotes and is legal in Tennessee. Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency spokesman Dan Hicks said officers are searching for the trap owner, but probably will not file charges because the dog had strayed onto another person's property. A spokesman for the Humane Society said the traps are like land mines for animals. He said there is no data showing how many domestic animals are killed in traps each year, but it's common enough that trappers can buy insurance for it. (Copyright 2008 by The Associated Press. Veterans Administration to expand Greeley clinic
The Veterans Administration is moving its Greeley clinic to a larger location later this year. Operated by the Cheyenne VA Medical Center, the clinic has been open at 2020 16th St. since 1998. According to officials in Cheyenne, the clinic will move to the second floor of the Summit View Medical Commons, 2001 70th Ave., where it will take 10,000 square feet and about double its present location. The move, according to a press release from Cheyenne, will come no later than summer, but a tentative date of March 1 for completion of the space has been set. Andy Ruben, public information officer at Cheyenne, said services will be expanded and the VA will add additional services for veterans in northeast Colorado once the move is completed. Hensel Phelps Construction of Greeley is completing tenant finish work on the new location.

In related news, I've suddenly found myself extremely in debt. All cash donations accepted. French actor Gerard Depardieu has announced his retirement. Damn. I'd been praying for a Green Card sequel. In an art-imitates-life scenario, 16-year-old actress Tara Correa-McMullen, who had a small part on Judging Amy as a reformed gang member, was murdered over the weekend in a gang-related shooting. A friend of a friend lives in Ottawa Hills, Ohio. Guess who just bought a house on her street? Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise. Katie grew up five miles away in Toledo. .
McCain's CPAC Suck-up
I don't want my 17-year-old son to have to pick tomatoes or make beds in Las Vegas." Has Rove accidentally ripped the mask off the vicious social inegalitarianism of Bush's immigration plan, as Mark Krikorian argues, or does a more benign interpretation of his comments save him? It's not like he hasn't said this sort of thing before, apparently. Indeed, his June, 2006 version makes the probable context of last week's remark quite clear--and Rove's not simply "saying that every parent wants their child to have a high-skilled, high-wage job," as the White House's damage control suggests. Here's the 2006 pitch: "Now frankly," Rove said during a riff on the temporary worker part of President Bush's immigration reform plan, "I don't want my kid digging ditches. I don't want my kid slinging tar.
Man City 1-3 Arsenal
Adebayor's answered that, hasn't he?" I would say so, yes. 72 min: Hleb cuts the ball back from the right, but Flamini's first-time shot is mis-hit. Even so, it forces Dunne to concede a corner with a miskicked clearance, but then City break and Lehmann is forced to slide in to concede a throw-in from a header. Hamann then gets away with a sickening late challenge on Clichy that should have earned him the yellow card that costs him a place in the Manchester derby. 74 min: The game's gone quiet. My inbox has not. "RE: Jojo Malig (56) mins and Arsenal/United fans briefly switching allegiances - is it me or does this seem to happen a lot?" says Liam Haydon. "By which I mean United and Arsenal playing the other's rivals on the same day, or at least the same weekend. Does it happens for other rivals too e.g Villa/Liverpool and Birmingham/Everton etc? doubtless the clearly still bitter Naylor will be able to enlighten us.
