| Society must stop giving benefits to illegal immigrants
They would become a huge additional burden to our social services system.Who will pay for it? How will we then finance Social Security and health care for our citizens? How will we take care of our poor?Advocates for illegal immigrants say such people are essential to our economy because we are short of workers.I don’t believe it. I believe many job positions are not filled only because wages are too low; therefore, only people who are here illegally are willing to take those jobs. This is shameful exploitation! My fourth problem with compassion toward illegal immigrants is that if an economy stands on exploitation, it is a moral disaster. When one group — illegal immigrants — is exploited, another group — shameless employers — flourishes. The third group — average taxpayers — subsidizes it.
Frontpage Interview’s guest today is Phyllis Chesler, author of The ...
Frontpage Magazine: Ms. Chesler, welcome to Frontpage Interview. Chesler: Thank you Jamie. It is my pleasure to be with you. FP: Why don't we start by talking a bit about the need for an alliance between sane feminists and conservatives. Isn't this an important step in our war against militant Islam? Chesler: Yes. Conservatives and people of faith must realize that women's rights are human rights. They must strategically adopt the feminist critique of gender apartheid under Islam and must use it in the propaganda and military war that Islamists have declared against America and western civilization. Feminists need to understand that freedom OF religion is as important as freedom FROM religion and must connect to peoples of faith, beginning with Jews and Christians, who are being persecuted by Islamists in the Middle East.

15 regular-season games? P.S. Let's Go Rangers! Thanks, Dominic Peteroy New Jersey I'll take the high-level goalie playing 60-65 games every time. But you make a good point on goaltending and the style of NHL play this season. There are more shots, more odd-man rushes and shootouts. Shootouts put an enormous amount of mental and physical strain on goalies. Goalies are so flexible and athletic today, they put themselves in precarious positions for hip and knee injuries. Their added flexibility and athleticism has actually put them in danger of injuries. It's something worth watching. I bet at least one NHL goalie tears an ACL at worst, or has a significant injury at "best" this season. John, I have one question about hockey being shown on TV, and I'm not sure if you have the answer.
Black History Month begins
Can you imagine going barefoot over 100 miles of rough terrain?" Duke asks. He was shipped to the U.S. and sold to Foster, who was building up his Natchez farm. For 20 years, Foster dismissed Rahman's claim of royalty. Then, remarkably, Dr. John Cox spotted Rahman. Cox had once missed his ship's departure from Africa. He spent six months there and he remembered the hospitality and the young prince. For 20 years after they met again, Cox tried to buy Rahman's freedom. Foster, with a plantation flourishing under Rahman's leadership, refused. Finally, when Rahman was 66 and less productive, Foster agreed to a sale under stringent rules. His former slave had to return to Africa. He could not be a freed American. First, Rahman lingered to raise money to free his children.
I've caused a stir
They live within a system open to abuse and the perception is that they abuse it! Everyone from the Speaker to the Prime Minister (and everyone in between) is suspected of being in it for themselves! He must realise that if he has nothing to hide, then let us see! We are not interested in the expenses of journalists but I would love to know how much money Kilfoyle has spent on things I don't want to pay for! .
Curtain Call
One of the opening night leads, Asero (the choreographer), was so perfect as to foil all guesses that she was a last-minute replacement for an ailing star. Bibby has the most impressive voice of all, but Giddings, Juran and Flynt are also excellent singers. Giddings has a fine lilting quality to his voice and a narcissistic but sweet demeanor. Juran’s Pirate King resonates humor and is most watchable for the personal touches he brings to his character. Flynt has a naturally commanding bearing that makes him less of a buffoon than is typical for his role. Their voices blend beautifully, and careful diction makes this the most clearly understandable Pirates that I have ever heard remarkable in light of the dated language and sizable orchestra. In fact, the entire ensemble sings with refreshing tonal and rhythmic precision.
Longview daycare forced to close, teacher fired
LONGVIEW, Wash. - The Little Rascals Academy daycare center in Longview has been forced to close its doors after a state inspector witnessed some disturbing behavior. According to the state, kids were being restrained for nap time right in front of a state license inspector, who reported seeing a toddler placed face down on a mat with his head covered with a blanket and then a worker covering the child's body with her two legs. Cheryl VanCleef, the daycare center's operator, told the inspector she "didn't know what else teachers were supposed to do" to control children. Her daughter, Nicole VanCleef, who works at the center, said the teacher who restrained the child was fired. However, the state contends that Cheryl VanCleef didn't seem to treat the incident seriously and they had to take action because the facility was already on probation for past alleged violations.
Musharraf's cheery swing through Europe
You have to hand it to Pervez Musharraf. With all the problems the Pakistani president faces at home, he still found time to spend eight days in Europe last week, assuring world leaders everything is fine in his nuclear-armed state. But everything is not fine, and the cracks in his sunny public relations facade were not hard to see. Musharraf petulantly lashed out at an influential group of retired officers from Pakistan's powerful military that had urged him to step down immediately, dismissing them in a Financial Times interview as "insignificant personalties." In fact, they are yet another reflection of how the ex-army chief of staff's popularity has plummeted, even among former fellow officers. And when a leading Pakistani journalist at a London news conference asked a reasonable question about the security services, Musharraf implied that he was an enemy of the state.
